Fieldguide Farmhouse specializes in hospitality for outdoor enthusiasts in northern lower Michigan. We proudly provide guests authentic customized experiences, both at the Farmhouse and beyond. Fieldguide Farmhouse is a stately yet simple four-square farmhouse constructed in 1910 of fieldstone sitting atop a hill on six picturesque and private acres overlooking Intermediate Lake on the Chain of Lakes.
Fieldguide Farmhouse host, Lee Maynard is a 5th generation northern Michigan lover, who adores old houses but is most at home in the outdoors. An Athens, Georgia native, Lee was raised on frequent family backcountry camping trips, hikes and paddles and loves working as an outdoor recreation guide. She has served as a guide around the world for a wide-variety of trails, rivers, ranches, reefs, cities, climbing walls and resorts and studied Recreation, Park & Tourism Sciences at Texas A&M University (whoop!) and Lincoln University in Christchurch, New Zealand. Today, based in Central Lake and the Straits of Mackinac, Lee enjoys northern Michigan with her family.
